I am a professional
fisherman, who fished tournaments from 1986 until 2000. I
finished in the top 10 several times, qualified for the
Florida World Classic and thought I was on my way. Then I
went through a divorce and needed to be with my daughter so
I quit the Pro Trail, even though it was my life long dream
to fish. I also at the same time was guiding full time. I
had to make some major changes. I continued to guide and was
driving 100 to 200 miles a day to do what needed to be done.
Timing has got be right and your mind has to be open to a
change when this business is put before you. You see, I saw
this business three years ago, two years after my divorce,
from one of my best friends but did not see the opportunity.
After watching him retire in nine months I was still not
convinced this was the business to solve my dilemma for
retirement. Two short years later he pulled into my yard in
a brand new Jaguar; now you would have to be pretty thick
not to see there is a real opportunity at that point.
With all the help and training this team made available to
me the only question was...was I willing to plug in, roll up
my sleeves, and do the work? The answer was YES, one month
later I was RSD, two months later SRSD and nine months after
that Jag hit my front yard, I reached Executive Sales
Director.
It is now not a question of how will I retire at 65 but will
I have to work 12 more month before having that choice. We
all have to make choices in our lives, I hope you don't take
three years as I did to make the right decision.
